Easy in use and highly recognisable costumes are the best choice for children's animation on large public events.
Also our advice for re-enactors and large number castings.

High finish costumes
|
|
The finest costumes are often based on standard models, which have been improved by certain details as ribbons, buttons, special stitching or even printings.
The next step is a gathering of accessories like belts, bracelets pendants and other materials as false plants, pieces of armour, special knot work and weaver.
|
There is no limit to the possibilities, still a balance must be found between the image of the costume and the character you play with it.
Special costumes like candy, food or utilities are no problem, neither are comic's characters or animals. We do give them a "Real" 3D-look with soft-touch (for children) and a uni-size carrying-pak.

A good fighter should be as well equipped in armour as he is in arms. It has to be a good fit, a tough protection but most of all make a good impression. Considering the roughness of re-enactment mostly toughness is important, as for role-play the design and style have to be adequate to the character and game rules.
Role-play outfits can also be made out of other materials than leather or metal like latex, plastic, polyester and different laminated textures. Still, a high-grade of security towards the wearer and to the arms of his opponent is self-evident. Sharp points and edges might damage the latex-weapon in combat or both by falling.
All armour is handmade and made to measure. First-time Larpers can rent a costume with armour and weapons for a fair price, this allows them to have a try-out without spending a large investment.

G&V Latex-weaponry was our confidant supplier of all arms needed for role-play (larp), theatre, or even training and martial arts. Since June 2004, we have taken over this company and manage the production ourselves, which gives us an artistic freedom as well.
Purchasing a G&V weapon should be considered an investment. Not only because the high-quality materials last longer, but also can, if damaged accidentally, be easily repaired as new (except a broken core-rod, what rarely happens).
Leather scabbards and quivers are available and adjusted to the weapon in case. Our shields are made in laminated polyester and covered with foam rubber and latex by G&V. Bows, crossbows and arrows can be provided as well. (Only for use in role-play games!!)

Candles and moulded items
Most of the time, props and other items used in a play or story often require special details and descriptions. When small sculptures, multiple items or artefacts need to be made, a mould is taken from a clay-model. A high-quality silicone mould has the advantage that all resins, plasters and candle-grease can be used for reproducing and in no limited numbers. For unique pieces we use a "lost" mould that is less expensive. All items are hand-painted and plastic gemstones can be incorporated.
We also retail fantasy-statues by Myths & Legends.
